Seasons – Summer

Summer

On this night, Midsummer’s Eve, it is exactly half a year since we first begun our journey through the seasons. We are literally on the other side of the sun from where we first started, which is a remarkable thought when you really think about it!

It is also the closest we ever are to the sun, and therefore the longest day of the year. It is written in folklore that this is one of the most magical nights of the year, when the world of faerie merges with our own. This season will explore some of the more enchanting characters from folklore. We’ll be crossing paths with a mermaid, the Queen of the Elves, Robin Hood (and of course Little John) and a palmer man from the holy land who may just know more about you than you do yourself…

It’s been a tremendous voyage this way round the sun, and I’m sure it’ll be even more fun on the way back!
